Shelagh MacLeod moved to Minneapolis from her native Scotland in 2003. She teaches at her home studio, Cross-Continental Music, and has been the woodwind Studio Teacher for Southwest High School since 2015. She holds diplomas from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Trinity College of Music in London and a masters degree in woodwind education from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Shelagh has played clarinet and bass clarinet with Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Encore Wind Ensemble, Grand Symphonic Winds, Mississippi Valley Orchestra and Bloomington Symphony Orchestra. She also played in Kenwood Symphony Orchestra for twelve years and was a concerto winner in their annual Masters concerto and Aria competition in 2015.
Shelagh currently studies clarinet with Alexander Fiterstein and flute with Immanuel Davis. She lives in south Minneapolis with her husband and three dalmatians.
